Children want to be able to attend school in person. Parents want to do what they can to ensure their safety. With the surge in the delta variant and the new variants rising the safest way for our kids to return to in person learning is with a mask mandate. Masks have been proven a safe and effective way to protect against the Covid 19 virus and other viruses. The mandate last year kept kids in school and safe. Without a mandate outbreaks are not only possible they are a guarantee. Kids are more affected by this new variant and many can not yet be vaccinated. Let’s show the school board that we support in person learning in a safe way by supporting a mask mandate for children and school employees.
