Our apartment complex has seen many crimes and much damage. Each time something happens, we're left in limbo wondering what should happen next, what will be done to protect us, and what will be put in place to keep it from happening again. And yet, nothing is ever done.

Cars broken into, mailboxes destroyed without any updates, never being able to get in contact with the property manager, and feeling all around unsafe and unprotected where we live.

This is not right. For the amount we pay, we deserve to have security and we should be able to go to bed without worrying that our property will be damaged when we wake up. At the least, if a crime takes place, we deserve to have the ability to catch the perp on camera instead of throwing our hands up and saying "oh well".

If we can get security cameras put in the areas that are most traveled, we have a better shot at identifying those who commit these crimes. We get peace of mind in knowing there's a chance that we can catch the person who committed a crime and bring them to justice.

We deserve to have a better system in place that places tenants above criminals.
