The stairs connecting Riverside Drive between 135th and 136th Streets going down to 12th Avenue have become a haven for criminal activity. With little to no deterrent or policing this creates an unsafe environment in an important part of our neighborhood.

By adding security cameras at the top of the stairs, halfway down the stairs and at the bottom of the stairs, we can create a deterrent and provide evidence to prosecute illegal activity.

Our community is filled with people who use the stairs to shop at Fairway and access the running path. Let's help create a safe passage for our community.
