Secure the release of my colleagues Cynthia Okereke & Clemson Cornel
Why this petition matters

On July 29, 2022, my colleagues and members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel, aka Agbogidi, were kidnapped in an Enugu suburb and now their abductors are demanding a ransom of $100,000 for each of them.
I know it is often said that negotiating with terrorists is a mistake, but remaining docile is equivalent to calling their bluff and an even greater mistake. I am therefore calling on the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to act immediately in securing the safe release of Cynthia Okereke, Clemson Cornel, as well as other Nigerians who have fallen into the hands of these wicked beings.
With each passing day, everyone in Nigeria becomes a potential target for terrorists and kidnappers who have made our country a shadow of itself. This is primarily because the Federal government has been slow to implement its primary responsibility of safeguarding the lives and property of every Nigerian citizen.
I will not sit back and do nothing. The government must do the same and ensure the safe return of all abductees of terrorists immediately. We must not forget that every Nigerian life counts.
