This situation hit close to home when a recent break-in at 8104 Silverwind had its roots traced back to the unsecured parking lot above Silverwind Drive. This non public parking area has also been a breeding ground for night-time loitering and trespassing onto the easement fire road which further threatens the safety of our Lakes community and specifically homes on Silverwind Dr. and surrounding streets. 

This not only poses potential threats to our properties, but it also undermines the tranquility and safety that each resident values and expects. We are reminded of the importance of strong preventative measures against crime within our community because of the recent events, and we urge our Lakes HOA for their aid regarding this major safety issue in our community. Based on our research, the parking lot is owned by Black Mt. Ranch LLC. (Lennar) and we ask our HOA to work with Lennar to resolve this safety issue before the handoff is competed later this summer. 

Let's urge our HOA and board to action, for the sake of our communal safety. We call on them to secure this parking lot above Silverwind Drive, by getting permission/permitting to either gate or blocking it off, and enhance police patrols, especially during the evening hours. By doing so, we will be curbing potential risks and contributing to our peaceful existence in the Lakes community. Please show your support and sign this petition.
