The problem that I want to solve is the impact of the current situation (Covid 19) on illegal immigrants/overstayers, who I believe are highly likely to be vulnerable, living under inhuman or degrading conditions or experiencing extreme hardship and going through emotional and financial difficulties without relevant and targeted support, protection and assistance from the government. I also believe that their circumstances mean that they are likely to be  exploited and taken undue advantage of without having adequate redress.

It would be recalled that in 2008, the PM as Mayor of London, called for an "earned amnesty" for thousands of illegal immigrants living in London, claiming that the notion that they will one day be deported from the UK is "just not going to happen". The PM reiterated his support for the move on being leader of the country.

In the circumstances, it is my view that there can never be a better time than now to make good his call.

The current situation mean that we have to be more caring and extend our support to those vulnerable members of our community who need our support now more than ever.

Just remember that we are all humans and those who are in the lowest spoke of Fortunes wheel are equally entitled to our regard.
