Gridlocked Rugby we need infrastructure not a Motorway Service Station
This petition had 338 supporters
The plan to build a Motorway Service Station at M6 junction 1, will add traffic to the already gridlocked roads of Rugby.
Rugby is constantly growing with house building in all areas, without the necessary infrastructure being put in place. This has lead to our roads getting busier and more slow moving, especially at peak times. We have already seen the addition of warehouses directly next to the M6 Junction 1, making the A426 a virtual carpark at peak times, especially when there is a problem on one of the major roads M6, M1,A14.
The plan to build on the green belt at the side of the Motorway, will make the land prime for building, thusadding even more traffic.
This will also ruin the peace and serenity of our conservation area within the village of Churchover.
Please support this petition to stop the building of the Motorway Service Station and get Rugby moving again.
