Patients should have the choice of booking face to face appointments without being vetted by phone first. If an appointment is not available straight away in that instance an initial phone call should be offered. Bring back booking face to face appointments.
I know three people who have ended up being admitted into hospital where a doctor or nurse has assessed on the phone and mis-diagnosed. We need to have the choice to be able to choose and be seen.
Dentists see patients, mental health services are seeing patients So why can't the GP's see patients.
