I am a Asian Hispanic person and a lot of things I’ve learned about the history of my people is not taught in schools even though they are very important parts of history, and if they are talked about they’re whitewashed into making white men heros and everyone else the villain

As a student, I agree with all of this, as everyone should. I was reciting the 'Divorce, Beheaded and Died' rhyme in last period today, believe it or not. Yet, in the same way, I have never heard of half of the African-American/Black historical events in here. That's gross. I don't care about a war between France and England that occurred over a century ago when the one that is being waged now is far more important, and yet not put to nearly any attention. I don't care about the factors that caused the progression of medicine. Where are the factors that contributed to systemic racism, and the ways that we furthered and festered that. The way that legal systems don't regard the KKK as an illegal threat to their society, yet can imprison a man under a charge of stealing 9 fucking dollars. $9 . Black History should be taught everywhere. Ignorance is more dangerous than anything, and although everyone should be educating themselves all the time and have more than enough resources to do so, that's not enough. Schools need to implement the terrible things that we as a society have done to black people in the history curriculum. Stop covering up the past, you can't wash away the injustices, or pretend they never happened. Stop whitewashing all together. Black lives matter. So make it happen.

The expansion is necessary, neglecting to educate the youth about certain events in history is biased.
