So currently, Black history across the UK is hardly often talked about. It is whitewashed and there is definitely more to black history than slavery. So my goal is for the history curriculum e.g AQA, to add more topics and to learn more than just slavery such as inventions, integration, achievements voting rights and laws. We need to make a change. Our history can not be spoken for us. It shouldn’t be whitewashed. We need our voices to be heard. Speak Up! I am tired of hearing about how black people were enslaved. Slavery was a major factor in history but there is more to us then just slavery. Speak up and don’t let them tell our story!
