Seattle Public School Students Demand Covid Safety

Recent news

FHS students will continue strike to Tuesday if demands aren’t met

We are sending a clear message to the Seattle Public School District: If you do not meet our demands for safety, we will not go to school in person Tuesday. We are very happy to share that Franklin High School is temporarily going remote due to the pressure WE ALL put on the SPS district. Your signature made this happen! While this is good news and stops the spread of Covid at Franklin for now, the district has not ensured that we will be safe when we return in person. This is because the district has not met our other demands to provide N95 masks, weekly required covid tests and vaccine clinics at Franklin. We will still be sicking out on Friday to join students across Seattle at the rally at John Stanford Center at 11:30. See you there. We also are sending a clear message to the Seattle Public School District: If you do not meet our demands for safety, we will not go to school in person Tuesday. We encourage teachers to stand in solidarity with us on Tuesday by sicking out.
