I rely on this bussing so that I can work. Taking it away would have a major impact on my career, which is already impacted by being the primary caretaker for a special needs child. The rationale for this decision is disingenuous at best. Keep the busses!

All students need a safe way to get to and from school. It is unbelievable that cuts to bussing for any student are even being considered.

I’m signing this petition because the kids have been through enough over this covid year and because they are doing their part by going to school. We need to do our part and quit taking things away that they need to succeed.

Cutting transportation to Option Schools is clearly not an impactful solution to this budgeting problem. SPS has got to do better!

All families need to have access to bus services- whether in an option school or not. There are so many families at STEM who use the bus services, likely more that at local public schools because families choose to opt in from outside their local neighborhood. It would be so disruptive for students to have to change schools after 2 years of disruption from Covid.

Without the school bus transportation to my daughter's charter school in West Seattle, she wouldn't have been able to experience a staff of fabulous teachers who truly care for her and wanted her to succeed. She received an incredible education that would not have been possible with the help of transportation to and from her option school.
