People support Woodland Park Zoo and their Elephants and want them to stay.

Woodland Park Zoo is under attack by animal rights groups, armed with inaccurate information and false claims, demanding they close their elephant exhibit and move the animals to a sanctuary. The zoo's elephants receive excellent care and afford visitors to see these magnificent creatures and learn first-hand about their plight in the wild and what they can do to aid the conservation efforts to save them. By moving the elephants, we will lose a great chance to educate the population on why we should spend the time, money and effort to save them. We urge you to look at the facts and see that this vocal minority is not acting in the best interest for the elephants, Woodland Park Zoo or the million people a year who come to the zoo.
