Understanding Fire Effects on the Environment. Wildfire is a part of nature. ... But fire can be deadly, destroying homes, wildlife habitat and timber, and polluting the air with emissions harmful to human health. Fire also releases carbon dioxide- a key greenhouse gas—into the atmosphere increasing global warming.   In addition emergency response services  ( Fire Service, Medical, Ambulances and Police )are currently stretched to breaking point, they do not have scope, funding or I expect the interest in taking on additional work that can be totally avoided.  These resources can be spent on genuine emergencies

Local councils councils are lacking in funding to carry out basic operational tasks to keep the community safe and functioning, again they do not need additional work.
