Campaign to extend/paint Seaham Skatepark.

We desperately need to increase the size of the skatepark to accommodate the young population of Seaham who are getting into riding BMX, Skateboarding or Scootering these days. 

Seaham skatepark was built a few years ago now and after years of having nothing at all to ride it was a fantastic thing to happen to our community. 

I've spoken to kids who have said if the park wasn't built and they hadn't found BMX they could've easily ended up on a wrong path. The skatepark provides a great venue for friends to get together and practise their skills to progress in their riding and it's a great positive influence for youngsters these days.

The problem is.. The Skatepark is getting too full and it's becoming very crammed, which will increase the threat of accidents happening since a lot of people will be riding the park at once.

So this is our plan..

We aim to work alongside Seaham Town Council to design an extension of the skatepark and will look to incorporate local graffiti artists to come and paint the skatepark once extended.
