There is an incredible stretch of highway between Squamish and Whistler, locals and tourists alike take delight exploring this region. On September 18th, 2017, a trophy hunter shot and killed a local emotional therapy dog within 200 meters of the above-mentioned highway. A bullet could have easily missed its mark and continued elsewhere potentially causing even more harm.
There is No Shooting & No Hunting zone between North Vancouver to the east city limits of Squamish. This safe zone prohibits hunting and shooting 400m on either side of the highway, however, it stops in Squamish and does not continue.
Our goal is to establish a new Protection of Life No Shooting & No Hunting safe zone along this majestic stretch of highway to protect life. This would entail a 400m protection zone on either side of the highway from Squamish to Whistler.
Let's not let another tragedy happen, let's make a change.https://www.gofundme.com/kaoru
