I have started this petition as I have become increasingly concerned at the failure of Police Scotland to enforce the Covid 19 regulations during the pandemic especially in the Highlands.

As the regulations have started to ease from stay at home to stay local (staying within your local authority), many of us have noticed the huge amount of campervan that are coming to our area and clearly breaching the regulations. This means that not only have many managed to travel through England unchallenged but also through Scotland and has been ongoing throughout the pandemic. Now your not telling me that these tourists haven't been caught on cameras or spotted by police vehicles? So why are they not being stopped. The police surely realise that by not enforcing these regulations that public confidence in the police is now further declining.

I now urge the Scottish Parliament to set up an independent investigation as to why the police are not doing their job and enforcing the rules during this public health crisis and protecting our communities and Healthcare facilities from the pressures already being posed by Covid 19.
