Help us end abortion clinic harassment across Scotland

The Edinburgh City Council supports the introduction of buffer zones!

Have you heard the news? On Tuesday, we (YOU) reached a big milestone. After 4,800 signatures, 50+ volunteers, and an expansive reach on social media and through news outlets... you can read about this in the BBC here --> https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-56184287

The Edinburgh City Council has decided to back our call to support the introduction of buffer zones around abortion clinics. Like us, they believe this issue is better tackled nationally and have agreed to engage directly with the Scottish Government in support. Protecting patients from intimidation and harassment is a bipartisan issue, which was demonstrated by the outcome of yesterday’s debate.

We have SO MUCH more work to do. Not everyone in the council supported the petition, which reflects the challenges we will are to face in the next steps to making the much-needed buffer zones national law. In the meantime, please keep sharing and signing our national petition.
