Every girl has a story. It can be remember that time the creepy guy followed us off the bus or remember when I was too drunk to say yes but he didn't care. But if you ask a man these aren't experiences they are lies and exaggerations constructed by women. This also applies to the new generation, I had a conversation with a 16 year old and he said it's ok to abuse your female partner in certain circumstances.

How do we change this? Protests aren't working, ignoring it clearly isn't working. The only way to change it is to teach children, not when they are fully formed, but when their opinions are still being shaped. However, feminist issues will not be taught in school until it is mandatory and their is course work surrounding it, an hour video played once will do nothing. We are taught about what women in the past experienced but what about women in today's world. Teach children that their is sexism in the world, and teach them how to stop it. Make it mandatory to teach children about feminist theorists and advocates. Teach them about micro aggressions towards women.

Basically, all I am hoping becomes mandatory is that in schools children are taught that sexism is not a problem of the past.
