IMPORTANT UPDATE.

A lawyer has now agreed to help the O'Halloran family to get some answers about what happened to David. This is great news. It is more important than ever that we continue to share and get signatures.

Thank you all for what you have done so far. It is very much appreciated.

A decision has been made not to hold an inquiry into this young man's death.

David was a loving son and a student at Stirling University. He was 18 years of age and he was eventually found dead in April 2013 after he went missing in January 2013 following being thrown out of Dusk nightclub in Stirling during a night out with friends.

His mum, Donna, put his journey in a poignant timeline on facebook and thousands of people followed her and supported her in her search for her boy. She carried on searching for him after the police gave up.

She has campaigned relentlessly, even when she did not know if her son was alive or dead, to raise awareness of drinking to excess and of the spiking of drinks in bars and nightclubs, to try and save other teenagers from the same fate. She is convinced that this was what happened to David but without an inquiry she will never get the answers she needs to the many unanswered questions about what happened to him between the night he went missing and eventually being found.

Donna has worked tirelessly to try to get bar and night club owners and door staff to take a more sympathetic and responsible approach to young people when they appear to have had too much to drink instead of  just being happy to take their money and then throw them out into the street when they consider they appear to be too drunk; leaving them alone, vulnerable and often inappropriately dressed for the weather.

She has never given up in her efforts to help prevent further tragedies from occurring and now helps to raise awareness of others who have gone missing.

There were at least 3 times when David's life could have been saved that night. This is a tragedy that should never have happened. If the doormen who threw him out had only taken the time to establish his physical state was not down to only alcohol consumption for instance this boy would be alive today. I recently attended a gig at Glasgow's SECC and there was a First Aid room for anyone who did not feel well. The Red Cross are present at festivals to assist. The provision of medical assistance should be a legal requirement when licences are granted to any entertainment venue where large numbers of people attend.

Your help with this would bring closure to his incredible mother Donna and may help prevent further tragedies.

Donna should be commended for what she is doing for our young people but instead she is suffering the agony of not knowing why her precious son lost his life.

Please help her!
