Scottish and Southern Energy Networks are upgrading the power network from Fort Augustus to the Outer Hebrides. They plan to deviate from the existing power-line route and run big, steel pylons past the township of Kylerhea and up Glen Arroch, one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland.

Kylerhea, Glen Arroch and the spectacular mountain pass 'Bealach Udal' are Sites of Special Scientific Interest and are renowned for abundant wildlife including Eagles, Otters, Deer and Pine Martens. This fragile ecosystem would be adversely affected by the construction and presence of pylons and high-voltage cables.

Having pylons through one of Scotland's most beautiful and pristine glens is tantamount to rape of the countryside. This need not happen as the existing power line's route could be used.

Please sign and share our petition. We hope SSE will listen. The more signatures, the louder our voice will be.

We owe it to our children, grand-children and all future generations to SAVE THE GLEN.

Thank you.
