buy Tara Robin a wedding ring

Scott and I have been married for over 18 months. I still don't have a wedding band.

Scott proposed to me with a sapphire ring (that he tricked me into picking out ahead of time). A few months later, I bought Scott an engagement ring engraved with "Amor Vincit Omnia," a phrase I had always planned to get as my first tattoo. Scott lost his engagement ring at work a few months before the wedding.

Before the wedding, Scott chose his ring for me to order, and I had it custom engraved again with "Amor Vincit Omnia." I chose the ring I wanted and since I literally planned every aspect of the wedding by myself, I figured Scott could handle just ordering me a ring. Apparently he thought I was going to order my own ring too. At the wedding, I put his new ring on his finger, and he put my engagement ring BACK on my finger.

The ring I want is less than $300, because I just want a little sapphire band, and we can definitely afford it. In fact, Scott has told me multiple time to just go and order it. The issue is that I refuse to order my own ring. I've been waiting since September 2011 for my husband to put in the very minimal amount of effort to order my ring. Asking him does not work. Begging him does not work. This is sort of a last-ditch effort.

A lot of people might think this is materialistic or shallow, but it's downright embarassing when people ask when the wedding is, because there's just an engagement ring. "Oh, um... two years ago." Or when they assume it's a birthstone because they know I'm married but it's obviously not a wedding band.

I want a wedding ring!
