Scott Morrison to repay all costs associated with the private use of RAAF resources
After enjoying an excursion from Canberra to his home in Kirribilli for Father’s Day, it has come to light that this was at significant cost to the Australian Tax payer who were left to foot the bill of what can only be considered as private use of RAAF resources.
Reportedly costing approximately 100k each way, it violated borders closures and travel restrictions applicable to all Australians, Scott Morrison has used his position for personal gain showing a compete disregard for the office he holds, and the responsibility that comes with it.
Taxpayer money is meant for education, healthcare, infrastructure or a multitude of other purposes designed to benefit and enhance the lives of all Australians. Just think of how many repatriation flights could have been funded for Australians stuck overseas, pleading to get home ? But no, Scotty got a Sunday in the lodge.
Tax payer money is not to be abused, and most definitely not for the purpose of funding personal trips home to see the wife and kids when so many of us can’t leave the house for more than an hour, visit family local or abroad or pay our respects to loved ones lost.
An apology isn’t enough…Pay it back, step down.
