Equality in education is essential (obviously). This benefits everyone. Not rocket science.

With only 20% of funding going to public schools, where more than two thirds of Aust children attend, this LNP govt is deliberately entrenching inequality. EVERY child should be funded by need, not just some. End this disgraceful mismanagement of public money and fully resource public schools, for the public good.

No one should be discriminated against or denigrated simply for being who they are. The Government should givern for all and not use taxpayers' money promoting division.

Because no school should be able to discriminate against a persons beliefs. Teaching religion in schools is a form of "brainwashing" - St Augustine said "Give me a child under the age of 8 and I shall make him mine for life" - and he wasn't talking about pedophilia he was talking about brain washing the child to the religious beliefs of the institution. I don't agree with this at all and consider there should be no religion taught to any one Christian, Jew or Muslim until they reach the age of 18 where they are able to make their own decisions about whether what they are being told is fact or fiction.

Trained Counselors not chaplains are needed. They're there primarily to flog their dead Jesus not for the good of the students. This is so very wrong.

Having chaplains is so ridiculously outdated! Why are we aiming to be forward thinking but sticking with such an old fashioned idea in our schools?

Private religious schools should receive zero public funding. You want to attend a school funded by the public, go to a public school
