This money can definitely be spent elsewhere on something better! I am absolutely disgusted that this is what government is prioritising now in this moment.

Spending so much money on what appears to be a celebration of the military hardware instead of the memory of sacrifices made is such a waste. The money would be better spent where it is needed most.

War is the last thing which should be celebrated and to spend that sort of money on glorifying war is immoral!

Funds to rural fire service is more important for our future and we can still honour our past hero’s without updating the war memorial

would it not be better to help the living the dead don't need another monument to remind us of the stupidity of war the living have a far greater need

I believe that it is more important for money to be available to save & help the brave rural firefighters who protect our country than spend on War Memorials. I have family members who served in the Australian Forces during different wars & feel an archive with photos, films & names & stories could be available in the current memorials.

the neo-liberal pricks have gutted our public fire service.
