The Australian Immigration System + Administrative Appeals Tribunal to make changes NOW.

I ask you please to sign this on-line petition which involves myself (Amanda Frey -(Australian-born) and my Jamaican husband (Garth).

Garth and I were married in July 2015, in Jamaica, after having met in 2014.  Our marriage is genuine and legal.  I applied for a partner visa to bring Garth to Australia.  That visa was rejected on the grounds that Garth has a daughter with health issues / intellectual disabilities.  She did not pass the medical exam in Jamaica (which is a requirement for partner visa application). I ONLY applied for my husband to come to Australia.  Garth does not live with his daughter - she is cared for by the maternal grandmother.

In January 2018, I lodged an appeal with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal  (Sydney Office).  I was pressured to pay their fee and was told the appeal would occur between 12 to 18 months.  I expected to get my Case Officer around March / April this year - this did not happen.  I've been told there is a backlog of cases.

Please help !!
