With no job or entitlement to welfare support in Australia - and no way to fly back to their home country - many workers on temporary visas say they're not sure how they're going to cope during the coronavirus crisis. (Covid-19)

Due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, there are more than two million temporary visa holders in Australia either at risk of losing their job or already unemployed with no income support.

There are calls for the Federal Government to include temporary visa holders in the new “JobKeeper” wage subsidy program.

The Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia on Tuesday called for the governments subsidy to also extend to temporary visa holders.
