End Violence toward Women and families in Australia

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

Currently more than one woman per week is dying violently in domestic settings. This map (abc.net.org 11 October, 2018) shows us where this has happened this year. We need to have a unified, national strategy to stop this.

One place to start would be a Royal Commission to deliver recommendations and solutions to be adopted by all levels of governments, law enforcement agencies, the justice system and community groups.

We’ve had Royal Commissions into financial institutions, abuse of children, aged care, indigenous deaths in custody and others. It’s time to get a serious response to this epidemic which is affecting us all - striking at the heart of who we are, generating grief, anxiety and sadness everywhere.

The injustice is evident. Time to do something!
