The totalitarian state of Sudan has seen Darfur embroiled in conflict since the early genocidal parameters set in 2003 by its autocratic government in Khartoum, and since has seen an array of different responses from a plethora of various global actors including China, the USA, the UN, NGO’s and the ICC. Whilst these global actors have had fluctuating responses in order to eliminate and minimise the severity of Sudan’s crimes against humanity, the overall responses “of the international community” have indeed “proved to be alibis” for their lack of action (M Kapila). Continuously the Australian Government has advertised the fear that the citizens of its state feel towards Sudanese immigrants however have offered little to no solutions to support their sensationalized claims. We believe rather than criminalize minorities and develop a violent façade and futher polarisation, to encourage our Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Foreign Affairs Minister Marise Payne, to better contribute resources into ending the civil conflict with Darfur and better integrate those fleeing persecution rather than expecting cultural assimilation
