I was shocked and appalled to hear this essential service for families in Cobram is being withdrawn. Where are parents to go for help at this crucial time in their lives.? governments need to strengthen support for young families which builds better communities for the future.

I participated in this program and I honestly believe that my child is much better off as a result and had I not had the opportunity to participate I would surely have lapsed into post natal depression. The people running the course were professional and highly qualified. I believe that this course is one of the better uses of our taxes!

I was lucky enough to be able to utilise this fantastic program as a first time mum. Living in a rural community 4 hours from my family this program has been a life changer for myself and my baby. Without this service I don't know what myself and other first time mums will so with no support.

I have recently used this service for my 7 week old baby who wouldn't sleep during the day. After spending the day at the family day stay centre I have come home with a child who sleeps and who is much happier. Not only that but they also were able to identify signs which indicated a medical condition which is now being treated. It has honestly been life changing and I'm not sure what we would have done if we hadn't been able to access and experience the knowledge of the fantastic staff that run this program. At this stage having to travel to Melbourne with a newborn to seek assistance would not have been an option!

My whole life is full of kids - I have 3 under 3, all my close friends have children, I attend a church that's full of children & I run a playgroup for mums & kids between the ages of newborn to prep. I've seen & felt how an insufficient amount of sleep can affect a family & it's ridiculous to think that in such a major country area this service will be cut off.

It is madness to cut this vital service used by vulnerable families at a stressful time in their lives. Good support in the early days can has long lasting effects on family health and happiness.

I'm a mother of 3 kids all under 5 and I know how hard things can get at times and I think (new) parents should have access to all the help they can get in their home region, without having to travel 2,5 hours for this kind of help

This is the only accessible service of its kind in this region. It is ridiculous to expect parents to travel hours for assistance that should be routinely provided and openly accessible for all parents and children.
