Dear Mr Morrison,

The original Bradfield Scheme was develop in 1938. In essence it channels the water from far north Queensland via a system of dams, pipeline and pumps to the Murray Darling. The water currently flows into the seas around the cape and is wasted.

This scheme was costed (in 1970's) at $2.9 Billion but with today's technology in construction could be built for the same if not slightly more cost. The jobs would be in the thousands and installing hydro electric power stations along the way would power the east coast of Australia.

It would end drought in Australia and would capture the worlds most precious resource.

We need to encourage our elected officials that spending tax payer funds on projects that will have a positive effect on those taxpayers is more important than funding overseas interests or on other targeted causes that dont help all Australians.

There is already $5Billion being put aside for drought relief, surely the planning of the Bradfield Scheme MUST be part of that funding.
