Currently, in Australia, the government has not declared Australia in an emergency state concerning global warming. It can be assumed this is because the current party has invested in the coal industry and so to help stop global warming, they would have to give up money. To prevent an irreversible climate state in 11 years, the Australian public should pressure the government to do something (Preferably implement the Zero Carbon plan which reverses climate change and is cost-effective). The world has currently heated 1.5 degrees. At 3 degrees all glacier melt and islands are flooded. At 5 degrees, the human race will struggle to continue living. We will reach 5 degrees in 11 years (2030) if nothing is done. Change starts with you. Sign this petition to show that you support helping our planet and wish to make Australia more sustainable. 

If this petition receives 1000 signatures, it can be taken to parliament, and with media pressure, changes will be implemented. If it receives 60,000 the government is forced to act.
