Why this petition matters

Started by Hugh Jass

There is no valid reason why the colour “pink” should exist. It is not a colour, rather, it is a mistake in the human eye and an unnecessary label. The colour “pink” promotes discrimination. Colours like blue, green, yellow, orange and so on did not receive a separate name for their lighter shades; why does red receive this privilege? The inequality between the colours are, quite frankly, an abomination.

“Pink” is simply a tint of red, thus, calling it by a different name is not only harmful to the other colours but completely unnecessary and inaccurate. The closest to a colour this “pink” can achieve is magenta. This however, is also invalid as magenta is a mistake in the human eye. Colour is perceived through wavelengths; violent being a high frequency while red is a low frequency. These wavelengths do not show us the colour magenta. The human eye only perceives magenta as “anti-green” as it exists in the jump between the high and low frequency wavelengths of violet and red.

Therefore, the label given to the lighter tints of red is unacceptable and must be revoked. This issue can only be fixed by the Big Man himself; Scott Morrison. Please, Scotty, you must be the voice of the people. I love you. Serve us well. Speak from the heart. Do us justice. Thank you all for your help. Justice will be served. Equality will be reached. It will not just be a distant dream; together we can achieve, we are strong!
