We all have the right to speak, yet we forget the younger generation has the same right. Why do we forget? Why are children deprived of their right to speak? People think that children are not old enough to say what they think. Well they are. So, I ask the Prime Minister as the leader of the Austrailan people to listen to us. The reason I know that the younger generation have voices is because I am 10 years old and I can say what I think. So can everyone, even children. So, I demand that children have the right to chose to vote too!

Politicians need to listen to the children. Article 12 of the United Nation's children's rights says that children have the right to say what they think should happen when adults are making decisions that affect them. Not every child will want to vote, but there are some children who are interested but they don't have that right. I think children should be able to vote from the age of 14 years if they choose.

Children are our future - they should be able to contribute to what happens to our country, to the decisions that are made. Those decisions impact children as much as the adults. Australia can be the world leader in this! Give children the vote Australia!
