Skateparks are an amazing place to build a community, and the benefits range from fitness and exercise to socialization and friendships. The only other skatepark in Scott Co. is wooden, and worn down to a point that many of the local skaters want a new one. This petition will be one of the driving forces for a new skatepark and we need all the support we can get.

With this petition we will take it to the city council and, with enough support, try to get a grant and permissions to build a park within Scott Co. Park. The benefits of the skatepark being in said location are accessibility,because many of the high schoolers could walk to it from the school, and fitness, because skateboarding provides for excellent exercise and plenty of fun, and finally, socializing, because our park could make for a perfect spot to make friends, hang out, and hone in on your skating skills, whether that be skateboarding, roller skating, etc.

We hope we can get your support in building this park! It would be amazing for the community and would be good for promoting fitness within the community and give the children a sense of belonging.
