RE: Sale of 30.48 tract of land on Andy Crowe Road

Many of you may feel the sale of the 30 acres on Andy Crowe Road was done in an unprofessional manner and left us with many unanswered questions, that to this day have not been addressed. There were a multitude of things that went wrong and were not handled properly. Many folks did not receive ballots, ballots were mailed out late, we weren’t given adequate time to receive ballots and mail back, ballet envelopes were printed with no signature line which causes a mass confusion for many. Do you know, was your ballot counted or not, was your ballet received? All this was done during the height of Covid when we weren’t allowed to gather together as a community. There seemed to be a rush to put it on the market and present it to the community during the winter months. That being said many of your questions were not answered and our concerns were never addressed but simply ignored. This petition is seeking to simply put a pernament hold on the sale of the land until our General Manager, Scott Carpenter and all LLH Board members meet with the Community in a town hall meeting to allow the Linville Land Harbor property owners to have the opportunity to have our questions addressed and answered. If you are in favor of this, please sign the petition. We only need 140 signatures.

LLH Bylaws: Article X, Section 3: Special Meetings of the Board may be called by...a petition signed by at least ten percent (10%) of the voting members of the Association. Each such request must state the purpose of the Meeting and no other items other than the stated purpose may be acted upon. We need 140 signatures to move forward. 

Purpose of the meeting: To challenge vote for the sale of 30.48 acre tract of land and obtain balance of Restricted Reserve Fund.

Issues to be addressed:

1. Non-compliance with Bylaws, NC 55A, and Robert’s Rules in regards to the notice, vote, and sale of the property.

2. Answer and address questions from homeowners in regards to the reserve fund, notification, vote, and sale of the property.

3. The current balance of the Restrictive Reserve Fund.
