Around Maldives, many art students are facing discrimination from their schools. One prime example is how students of Aminiya school has been treated for years on and on.  deprived of a qualified teacher, the teacher who came earlier this year has shown exam papers to students in order for her to pass her probation period. Moreover, students have studied in a class with no working fans and no tables too! The permanent class where students study also didn't have all the fans working, so they always stayed in a corner of the class and continued the lessons. Despite their attempts to change the map which was in the wrong class for the whole year, it was not successful. They met the deputy principal and their leading teacher as well regarding this. In 2018, the students had no history teacher for 3 months. They requested to bring a teacher from a private school, but they refused. They tarnished the image of the teacher Infront of the students. The students didn't have a permanent class during the 3 years and they always struggled to take their lessons. They had to make the class permanent on their own by using signs and so on. This is what the 2017-19 batch of Aminiya school endured. How many students have suffered like this in this school and other schools as well?

We need Need better teachers and management with facilities and they need to stop discrimination against arts students. Art students are no different from science and business students. They're not any less or less intelligent just because they chose arts.

I care because I've faced it as I'm a student who study arts as well and so does my friends. I don't want other arts students facing the same thing i have faced.
