Mental health is equitably as important as physical health.

While you can't see it through your bare eyes sometimes a mental health condition can do considerable harm to the life and well-being of a person. 10 to 15 percent of Filipino children, aged 5 to 15, suffer from mental health problems. According to the National Statistics Office (NSO), psychological disorders are the third most prevalent sources of morbidity for Filipinos. We ought to increase awareness of these issues in order for them to focus on preventing mental health disorders. Schools are certainly one of the fields where knowledge of mental wellbeing needs to be at a high degree.

Increasing understanding about mental health in schools is extremely significant, as young people are negatively impacted every day by mental health problems. To direct them through the process of coping with their inner challenges, they need a platform they can count on and a source of knowledge. The philosophy of self-care and accountability for one's own wellbeing and happiness contains main elements to bring a light on, stressing that mental health is an important part of health, and the principle of mental disease treatment. Schools need to initiate reforms to bring as many individuals, pupils, teachers and other school personnel to collaborate on raising awareness about mental health. Begin today with yourself.
