Schools should be closed due to the high rates of cases . Many students are missing school because of either COVID or symptoms. Teachers are just focused on the paycheck and not the students health. Our school swears it’s about team and family but nothing is being proven.Many of us students think that we should go virtual for our health and safety because teachers get paid even then wether they happy with how much they get or not they have to start think on our health.Also teachers are focusing only in their wealth and not in the health of students. The situation with covid in our school is getting tough, many teachers and students are out bc they have covid and some have the new variant omicron, but school does not wants to close and that can only mean that they do not worry about their students.Also the fact that the headquarters of idea located in weslaco shut down to start virtual school does add up due to the fact being that Brownsville has the most omricon variant cases in the whole RGV and us being a more populated city means we should try to stay away from crowds as much as possible and also being there is a new variant that has been detected which can affect us more for the worsts
