There has been some outrageous punishments for girls at my school. Some it could be because of the rips in their jeans or their shorts not being mid-thigh. Yes, there is some articles of clothing that can be revealing and not necessary to be some in a loosening environment. However, we shouldn’t get in trouble because we are classified as a “distraction”. There is no need for female students to be punished because parents do not know how to raise the children with respect. A shoulder isn’t distracting, neither is a rip in a pair of jeans. The facts are due to men, well boys don’t know how to control what’s in their pants makes me disgusted with society. It’s not just me trying to change the ways of the school boards dress code there are multiple petitions, debates, protests, and multiple, multiple disagreements. This child is a middle schooler! She and many more young women has realized the sexist and horrible conditions we go through on a daily basis. It not even the fact that i’m mad about them trying to “protect us” it’s the fact they don’t call guys shoulders, or thighs, or anything else on a males body an distraction, but as soon as a female wears an off the shoulder top it’s the end of the world? This needs to be addressed, someone has to do something about it.
