Well number one, Elementry Schools get recess and they don't even work as hard as us, and I know that might seem a little weird but If you really think about it, it's true. People these days in middle school work super hard and need a break,  so do the teachers. Not mentioning 6th graders that just went from 5th grade. When students are stuck in a classroom for 8 hours every day of the week it makes people stressed. I know most schools have P-E, but does that really help? I think if you let people outside they wear themselves out and are not as talkative or don't have as much energy, I personally am in 6th grade right now and it has been a major change from 5th to 6th, triple the work and fewer breaks. I know we have a lot of advantages as not having to walk in a line or be super quiet in the halls. I for one would work harder if I had a recess because I got my playing with my friends out for the day so for the rest of the day even at home it is time for homework. Some of my friends agreed that they would work harder too. in study hall, some people are playing video games and getting no exercise but if we go outside and have recess it is better for our health. The sun on your skin is good vitamin C. That is why I think that Recess would help us for 6th-8th grade.
