Schools are closed due to Covid-19 lockdown. Children are staying at home without enough support from the school and teachers.

With Halsey Dirve primary, there are only one or two half an hour sessions per week. Given the fact of half year away from school and lack of proper guidance from the teachers, it will be impossible for the pupils to catch up with the progress without extra support.

As a parent from Halsey Dr primary, we urgently ask the school take some actions to provide more support for our children. The current situation is not acceptable. Furthermore there isn't any excuse that Halsey Drive Primary could not provide online lessons as many other primary schools in central Auckland have been able to. Since online lessons are carried out everyday and some schools have already carried out end of year assessments without any issues.
