COVID-19 Education Response. (AIHS)
- During the 2021-2022 school year in a pandemic, there has been an overwhelming increase of COVID-19 cases, including the new variant Omicron. In the Red Clay Schools District, There is briefly more than 100 cases of COVID from students and teachers. With the lack of communication of COVID-19 regulations and safety practices,
contamination spreads rapidly within the small spaces in the schools. There has been minimal effort in following those steps, especially when students OR teachers have been witnessed without a mask or not have been social distancing. The constant stress of this impending danger makes learning in-person become a hazardous mess rather than a safe and healthy environment, especially with those who are involved with other medical conditions. According to a different district in Delaware, the Christina School District has switched to virtual learning. Our health and learning depends on the priorities we, students, need in order to change the future of our education.
