On Wednesday morning I got into a car accident turning left into school at the intersection of my school. I’m 17 years old and a high school student who was just trying to get to school. There has already been several car accidents right there, including a cross of somebody who passed away. I was hit by a person going 60-70 in front of my school, this needs to be stopped and there needs to be a school zone there. There are so many teenagers and families who pull into that school. I am very lucky to be alive and walking right now. It’s not fair that many people have been injured and a life has been lost at that intersection. There is no reason cars should be flying through that intersection going 60-80 mph right in front of a school, it’s very dangerous and not safe at all. I’m not asking to get a speed zone of 15 mph, but at least drop the speed limit to 45 Mph or lower to increase the safety of the drivers going down that road. Many people could be affected by this, parents, students, and other drivers on the road.
