It’s time they begin full day in person learning in Westmont School District 201. Students are falling behind. They are not socially engaged. They need activities and exercise. There are districts like Yorkville IL. District 115 that my older son attends that have been in person 5 days a week since August with no problems. Teachers with health issues that did not want to teach there for health issues were replaced with substitute teachers. There are students that may be able to e-learn but the mass majority will fail by not being in a real classroom. Open our schools! For example today my younger son that attends 201 had an issue in math and was raising his hand and was told the answer is not 5. He unmuted himself and said no I have a question and did not understand. The response was that he wasn’t asked to unmute and that was the end of it.  Would that be the response in a classroom? Open the schools for those that want to send their children. It’s time!
