End Mandatory Saturday School Lessons for Cedar Hill Collegiate High School

Multiple students do not understand the point of going to Saturday School if they are not failing and are performing well. We believe that if a student knows what they are doing, know how to study for a subject, and, especially, if they are not doing bad in that subject, then they really do not need the help. Some students are starting interviews for jobs or have various actvities to do on Saturday's, such as mandatory religious activities/beliefs, sporting events, extracurricular activities, etc. It is true that Saturday School may be beneficial to some students who are struggling, but it is not beneficial for all. Many students want to rest on their Saturday because Collegiate is a rigorous program that stresses out the students. Many students just want to rest especially on what used to be a regular day off. We hope you consider what we have said and please make saturday school non-mandatory.
Current Dates for Mandatory Saturday School: 1/27, 2/17, 3/24, 4/21, 4/28 for 6-10th grade
