Khloe Duvall started this petition to School boards world wide or even nationwide

Girls for centuries have been shamed or applauded for their bodies and what they looked like. Since 1969, dress codes were implanted as a way to keep the boys focused on their own work. In reality, why should that matter? Women should not have the fear of being stared at because of what they wear. Hear me out though, some clothes can look skimpy yes but comfort is also a factor. With Arkansas weather it can be unpredictable as in hot flashes or rainy days right after. Wouldn’t you rather wear shorts than jeans or leggings. Well, yes. If you ask yourself why it’s because it’s more comfortable and cooler so that you’re not sweating so much. Boys in schools (unless said otherwise in their handbooks) are able to wear shorts of any kind it seems like. Recently, due to the warmer weather I’ve personally seen men’s shorts that are shorter or the same length as the ones I have at home, yet this isn’t something where I could come to a school board and say “well they’re distracting me” because in reality males and females don’t get distracted by say a shoulder or part of a thigh. I know that there are stereotypes and maybe there are some people who do get distracted by why should that affect how comfortable certain people are. Being able to wear what you want can boost your confidence as well as teaching a lesson to your students. I understand there will be rules but think of this. What if we educated children instead of ruling out a majority due to a minority’s problem
