Natalie Edginton a lancé cette pétition adressée à School Boards Across Canada

While researching, I found many stories about how girls were dress coded by an unfair dress code or for an unjust reason. Many of the reasons we’re not hurting anyone and most of the time sexist. Girls have been told that the boys will be distracted or teachers will be uncomfortable with how they are dressed. In reality, boys should learn to not objectify them, and girls should be able to dress how they want as it is a way to express themselves and show their personality. To protest dress codes people have put up posters, worn capes to school, made petitions and more. Parents and students are fighting for a less strict dress code so that students can express themselves through their clothes. Clothing doesn’t affect how we learn but it does when girls are taken out of class and told to cover up or go home and change because of what they’re wearing.

This petition is to make school boards understand how many people think that dress codes are ridiculous and that they need to be modernized.  Dress codes need to change so that girls all over aren't being sent home or missing time at school just because of what they are wearing. How someone is dressed doesn't affect their learning or anyone else's.

Please sign this petition and help make a change in school boards across Canada
