My reason to be able to wear a hat in the building during school hours is it helps kids have a sense of confidence. If someone was to have a bad hair day or even a bad hair cut they could either put a hat on to hide it. This would get them more involved in school activities because they wouldn't have to worry about what others would say about his or hers haircut. People also often find hats to be fashionable, therefor if they think they look good then they feel more confident about them self and will not be afraid to engage certain things. Such as speaking in front of the room or getting your picture taken for year book.
