Requesting Emergency School Board Meeting

Requesting Emergency School Board Meeting
I am writing this because I strongly disagree with the Craig City School District on how it’s currently handling Covid, its not up to date policy. I don’t agree with these children staying home for distance learning till January 17th.
When Craig had its first shut down, a lot of places were shut down, business and even traveling came to a stand still. It’s 2022 now, things have changed including the CDC guidelines saying 5 days vs 10 days, from being exposed to someone who is Covid positive and etc. Its all changed, changes all the time. That’s where CCSD should be required to update that policy and not wait till we are in times like this.
All the staff are currently at the school working, but these children are home, why? I have asked and didn’t get many answers. I have read the current policy on CCSD, it’s not up to date. This must change, for the children. It always does more damage then it does any good when we shut down. What good comes out of this when we do shut down?
There are other options for people who don’t want their children in school as in homeschool. Public School shouldn’t be something we should fighting for, when things have changed.
The more parents/guardians that write emails and attend board meetings will make a difference. We need an emergency board meeting, to change the current policy that doesn’t even meet CDC guidelines. We can’t shut down like this, I hope we will have answers and things will change sooner rather then later. That’s where I am asking for an emergency school board meeting asap.
We need a meeting before January 26th, that’s the next schedule school board meeting. Parents can express their concerns and push for a change.
Thank you for taking the time to read this…
